Well I made this thread to have a place where people can post if they need help or would like to help with these prehistoric ffxi activities.

Just because there is abyssea now there are still other things to do…. especially when you are low on stones (like me…. /sad panda) I'd like to do pretty much all ZNM's and fight Pandemonium Warden! So hopefully we can figure out what we have what we want to do and who is interested.

few concerns straight off:
rule system?

what effect does it have on attend or is it optional like helping members with assaults/missions/random NMs.

i dont mind helping ppl on occasion but ZnM/VNM just like some abyssea nms drop nothing a person needs so they are sacrificing time/xp towards a reward of nothing, which while nice on their part to help an ls member can't be relied upon constantly.

Ok here is the thing. Since this is NOT an officially LS sanctioned thing there is no event points gained. It is simply something meant to help us (the ls) help each other. Me personally I wouldn't mind fighting EVERYTHING. What I personally have done in the past is if you had a pop for something you chose what you wanted to lot and everything else was free lot for the people that helped. That sounds fair? If you guys have a suggestion that would work better let me know.

I mean it's human nature for people to want to do things they benefit from I guess. I honestly want to fight EVERY single thing in this game at least once. Why not I paid for it. And why not help each other out. This is merely a place where we can list what we have and can find out who is interested and when so we can make things fall DOWN. And get drops. Simple as that.

I think forums are way more effective than shouting in ls while ppl are afk or not on…. well providing that they check it. I have no problem helping people in the LS or asking for help. And if that sounds like you, then feel free to do so so that we can help each other.

We kill things, get drops, get things done. PERIOD. There is plenty of time when events aren't going on and I figured rather than sit around we can help each other and do cool stuf.

first things first is it your pop your drop? or farm pops for points and drops are used lotted based on points system?

we had a system that if its your pop you can only lot 1 item and rest is lotted points system or free lot if no one is bidding..

i know farming is at your own but it would give motivation if members do it as a group, prior to the event and no ones left out..

before i continue understand this: I am not attacking you or the idea on ZNM/VNM i am merely pointing out issues i see.


as said I will help on occasion recent events attest to that ironclad executioner 4x severer 5x random af fights etc.

The only hurdles that I know tend to kill these events are: rewards after dedicated ppl get their drops they won't farm new sets, while the FL lotters rarely if ever build their own trigs.

as far as human nature part hears how i view it
unless i am bored and wanna help for the hell of it the order is

1 what is the NM
2 how long will this take
3 what does it drop that i can use
4 can we kill it

if 1/2 are good then 3 comes into play if it drops jack crap that someone can use they are less likely to risk their xp/time on it

Well here's the thing, most of these can be done initially in a small group like the farming etc. I see what you're saying Pyro and that's kinda what I'm saying exactly. This is the place where members can ask for help and plan to do it as a group. Now I can't go into what motivates people. That's their own individual thing. I for example wanna makes stuff FALL DOWN. Especially if I've never seen it before but that's me.

Now Raucent, I don't think you're tearing the idea down but I think it's becoming way more complicated than it needs to be lol. Now if your busy or don't want to help kill something then fine, it's a free world you don't have to. However this forum is to resolve the 1-4. Based on what people pose you can pretty much figure that out. Honestly this game isn't that hard with numbers and skill. Some people simply do not care about ZNM's VNM's etc. And this forum isn't for them lol.

Ok you're saying dedicated ppl get their drops and don't farm new sets while free lotters don't build new sets. Well… this is kind of a self motivated "if you want to" kind of thing. like lets say Jonpeder says "I need help!" I want X. Now you know what he wants, it's just a matter of whether you want to help him or not. Then we go from there. I see what you're saying. I'm just saying it shouldn't be a boolean string to help your LS mates out. If A then B, if and only if A is to B. Like that's way to complicated.

I can only speak for myself when I say. I want to kill EVERYTHING in this game. I need help. Do you need help? I'm down to help whoever needs help. Lets plan this out. That's it. Every idea starts somewhere and this is the starting point. I'm gonna post what I have and what I would like to do and if that sounds interesting lets do that.

We will work out the logistics and fix the kinks as we go along. Now I can't speak for everyone. But I help people and I don't leave people high and dry. If I can I will and I help. This isn't an ethics lecture, and I am WAY too wordy. Lets just WIN. And have fun in the game.

I am honestly eye rolling at this at the moment… if any of you need help with anything just ask. Why so much complication about drops and time spent and shit. You either want to do stuff or you can sit in your MH and play with your moogle.
